What´s Covered

For details on the coverage of the battery that was originally installed in your Scion, see the terms and conditions as set out in your New Vehicle Warranty.

If the time comes to replace your battery, Scion carries a top quality line-up of maintenance-free batteries specifically recommended for use in Scion vehicles. When installed by a Scion or Toyota dealer, Scion-recommended batteries are warranted for 24 months for the parts and labour. Pro Rata warranties are also available. See the chart below for more details.

PLEASE NOTE:

The Service Replacement Warranty applies only to batteries installed by Scion or Toyota dealers on Scion vehicles. If a battery is installed by a Scion or Toyota dealer on a non-Scion vehicle, or if a battery is installed by a dealer other than a franchised Scion or Toyota dealer, then only the replacement cost of the battery will be covered (as above). The labour and sublets are not covered.

Exceptions to the Rule

  • Recharging of discharged batteries.

  • Failures caused by the use of incorrect electrolyte.

  • Batteries that have been opened, dropped, contaminated, cracked, frozen or otherwise damaged.
